About SaigonGoWhere

SaigonGoWhere is a guide for first-time visitors to Ho Chi Minh City. A small team living in the city writes it separately in English, Korean and Chinese. Articles aren't machine-translated from one language to the others.

How we write

• Facts before adjectives: addresses, opening hours, prices, how to get there, and the downsides.
• We check sources first: Vietnamese newspapers (Tuổi Trẻ, Thanh Niên, VnExpress and others), the Michelin Guide, official websites and government announcements. Every article ends with a list of sources.
• Numbers are checked against at least two independent sources. When sources disagree we go with the more recent one, and we leave out what we can't confirm.
• Since July 2025 Ho Chi Minh City no longer has districts. Addresses use the new ward name, with the former district in brackets.
• Each article shows the date it was last updated.
