Massages here are cheap by most standards. The tricky part is that searching "Saigon massage" turns up legitimate spas and sex-work fronts side by side. Below are a handful of places with official websites and a steady international clientele, plus prices, tipping, and how to tell the difference.
Prices and tipping
- Mid-range spa in the centre, 60-minute body massage: about 350,000–550,000 VND
- High-end spa: around 1.4–1.6 million VND for 75–95 minutes
- Hotel spas add 5% service and 10% VAT to listed prices.
- Many spas include the tip in the price. Where it isn't included, 50,000–100,000 VND for 60–90 minutes is normal.
- Ask "Is tip included?" before you start. It matters more than the amount.
- Tip in cash, in dong.

Telling a legitimate spa from a front
- A posted price list that says whether tip is included
- Bookings through a website or official social media account
- No touts on the street. Don't follow anyone who waves you in.
- If prices are shown only on a phone, or you're told "we'll talk inside", leave.
- A tip demand close to the price of the massage is a red flag.
- Licensed businesses keep separate rooms for men and women and give you a locker.
- "Top 10" lists online often mix in adult-venue ads. Don't trust them blindly.
Places to avoid and the legal side
- Touted massage shops on Bùi Viện, Đề Thám and Phạm Ngũ Lão. On December 23, 2025, police raided four spas in this area and caught prostitution in progress, with foreign customers among those found.
- In March 2026 the city ordered tighter inspections of massage parlours and karaoke venues.
- Buying sex in Vietnam is a fined offence; with a minor it is a crime.
